Pregnancy Counselling

Pregnancy counselling for Anxiety, Fear and Traumatic pregnancies

Pregnancy can bring a wide range of emotions, and while it can be a joyful time, it can also bring uncertainty, worry and feelings that are difficult to process. Some women experience pregnancy anxiety, including fears about their baby’s wellbeing, concerns after a previous loss, intrusive thoughts, heightened worry or feeling constantly on edge. Others may struggle with changes in identity, relationships, body image, or the transition into motherhood known as matrescence.

You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from your pregnancy, afraid of birth, or carrying difficult emotions from previous experiences. If pregnancy has brought up feelings of fear, sadness, guilt or uncertainty, pregnancy counselling and maternal mental health support can provide a safe space to explore what you are experiencing. Therapy can help you understand your emotions, regulate your nervous system, process difficult experiences and feel more connected and supported during this significant transition.
